In the 1970's the Democratic party deserted the conservative America.
There are very few conservatives left in the Demoratic party. The ones
that are left I can not understand why they are still Democrats if they
truly are conservative. I for one would never trust a Democrat that
claimed to be conservative. That to me is like a vegetarian belonging
to the meat of the month club. What about it Harold Ford Jr? Then you
have Republicans who try to please the liberals. Why can't we be honest
and just say what we are and what we stand for? The Republican party is
about to repeat history. So many Republicans are trying to side with
the left wing of the party and desert the conservatives just as the
Democrats did in the 1970's. If now isn't the time for a third party I
just don't know when the right time will be. We have two dominant
political parties trying to please everyone. Anyone with an ounce of
gray matter knows that you can't please everyone without alienating the
core of his party. All we have now in both parties is proffesional
politicians who are afraid to stand up for what they truly believe.
This is the reason why many Americans don't go to the polls, all they
have to choose from is a liar on the right and a liar on the left.
